*** NOTICE ***

The Elkhart recycling bins are for use by Village residents only. If you
do not have an Elkhart address DO NOT use them.
Non-residents must obtain a signed, and notarized, exception letter
from the Elkhart Village Board stating that you (an individual user) will
be responsible for 50% of the incurred monthly cost of the recycling
service provided by Elkhart.
Failure to obtain the letter could result in fines and may be punishable
by law.

There are now 3 bins and you may dispense your recyclable items in any
of them.  The items do not need to be sorted.  All items listed below are

corrugated boxes

2) Rigid plastic containers, including #1, #2, #3, #4 (excluding plastic
bags), #5 and #7 plastics

Golf Cart / UTV / ATV
2019-2020 Registration

Applications will be accepted soon for annual registration of your
machines, weather permitting.  The permit is good for 12 months.  You
can find additional information on the Cart UTV ATV link of this site.

Complete your application, review the safety check list, and
requirements prior to registration day.  Permits will not be issued if you
fail to meet the safety requirements.

The Village YARD WASTE Burn Pile is open 7AM-7PM on Wednesdays
and Saturdays.  Both days are weather permitting.
Please do not throw your yard waste over the gate when the area is
closed.  Thank you!

The President and several trustees have received complaints from
concerned citizens about dog and other animal waste being left in their
yards and on public property.  Do NOT leave your animal’s waste on
property that you are not responsible for.  Pick it up!  Carry your
“pooper scooper” or a bag and take it home with you.  This is breaking
the ordinance and you will be fined.  If you don’t mow it or scoop snow
off of it – do NOT leave your animal’s waste there.

Elkhart President and Village Board
